The data this site handles

Last updated: 5 October 2026

Who is responsible

This site is published by Biotech Lifestyle, 570 Buttermilk Pike, Crescent Springs, KY 41017, United States. For anything to do with this policy or with data we may hold about you, write to editor@biotechlifesstyles.com.

The short version. This is a reading site. It has no accounts, no logins, no forms and no payments. We never ask for health information and we do not want it. The only personal data we can end up holding is what a browser sends automatically and what you choose to put in an email.

What reaches us

Email. If you write to us we receive your address and the content of your message. We keep the exchange for as long as it takes to deal with it, and for a reasonable period afterwards in case of a follow-up. Please do not email lab reports or other health information. If you do, we will delete the attachment and reply without it.

Technical data. When a page loads, the server and the measurement tag described below receive standard request data: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, the referring address, the page requested and the time. We use it to keep the site running, to see which pages are read, and to measure advertising.

Cookies

The site sets a small number of cookies and uses the browser's local storage for one purpose.

You can clear or block cookies in your browser at any time. The site reads exactly the same with them blocked.

Identifiers in the address

A link from an advertisement may add parameters to the address of the page, such as gclid, wbraid, gbraid or parameters beginning with utm_. They describe the advertisement and the campaign it belonged to. They do not contain your name or contact details. If you follow a link from this site to another site, these parameters may be passed along so that the visit can be attributed to the same campaign.

What we do with it

We do not sell personal data and we do not pass it to anyone for their own marketing. It is handled only by providers working for us, namely hosting, email and measurement, and is disclosed beyond that only where the law requires it.

Retention

Email is kept only as long as the matter needs. Measurement data is kept for the period set in the measurement platform, which is counted in months. Server logs are rotated by the hosting provider on its own schedule.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, the law may give you the right to know what personal data we hold about you, to receive a copy, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to certain uses. Several US states, Kentucky among them, have consumer privacy laws that provide rights of this kind where they apply, and readers in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom have similar rights under the GDPR.

We will act on any such request regardless of whether a particular law obliges us to. Write to editor@biotechlifesstyles.com from the address the request concerns. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may contact the data protection or consumer protection authority where you live.

Children

This site is written for adults aged 18 and over. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

When this policy changes, the new text replaces the old on this page and the date at the top is updated.
